Photo Management Via Google My Business Revamped
Mike Blumenthal discussed earlier today some changes to the Google My Business photo management.  The new interface is a lot easier and more intuitive to use.

AMP Used For Site Quality If …
John Mueller announced that while AMP isn’t used as a ranking factor, if it’s the canonical it may be used to judge the quality of your site. Here’s John chatting about that in a hangout.

Google’s Bad Ads Report
Over on Search Engine Land Ginny Marvin discusses Google’s 2016 bad ads report. They removed 1.7 billion (yes … billion) ads – many of which appeared as system errors or contained fake news. This is up from 780 million in 2015.

Instant Apps Out Of Beta
Over on Search Engine Journal Matt Southern covers the roll out of Android Instant Apps from beta.  Instant Apps are scaled-down versions of apps can run from the search results directly for previewing before downloading. The process for creating the Instant App looks pretty straight forward but I’ll leave that to Matt to cover.

Barry Schwartz over at Search Engine Roundtable discussed a new way Google is trying to collect information – by asking you about your trips. Via collecting small and fairly-harmless information Google is working to paint a broader and broader picture of you and your interests. It’s interesting the way they frame the question:Google asking users about their trips.

Google Testing Another New AdWords Label
After discussing yesterday a test of the AdWords label with a green box around it it appears Google is also testing a black ad label. These test are interesting as they are clearly a quest to find the one that people don’t connect with advertising and thus click on more often.

Q4 Announcement By Google
Tomorrow after market close Alphabet will be releasing it’s Q4 earnings.  According to Jennifer Booton over on Market Watch they’re expect to show double digit growth but slowing search growth and a predicted move to push the cloud.
